فهرست نامزدهای اولیه اسکار 2023 که در واقع نود و پنجمین دوره جوایز اسکار است رسما منتشر شد.
بیشتر از یک ماه با معرفی نامزدهای اسکار 2023 فاصله داریم. اما ناظران آکادمی فهرست کوتاهی از رقبای واجد شرایط را در 10 دسته کلیدی منتشر کرده است که توسط یک گروه منتخب از رای دهندگان انتخاب شده اند. اکنون کل نهاد رای‌دهی اسکار می‌تواند برندگان را از میان این فهرست‌ها انتخاب کند.
این فهرست‌ها در دسته‌هایی از جمله بهترین مستند، بهترین مستند کوتاه، بهترین فیلم بین‌المللی، بهترین فیلم لایو اکشن کوتاه، بهترین انیمیشن کوتاه، بهترین موسقی متن، بهترین صداگذاری، بهترین گریم (آراش مو و میکاپ) و بهترین جلوه های ویژه هستند.
فهرست نهایی امسال بسیار پر ستاره است و خوانندگانی چون: ریحانا، سلنا گومز، The Weeknd ،لیدی گاگا و تیلور سوئیفت را در خود جای داده است.
بنا بر اخبار هالیوود مووی 21 نامزدهای جوایز اسکار 95 در روز سه‌شنبه 24 ژانویه 2023 اعلام می‌شوند. جوایز در روز یکشنبه 12 مارس به‌طور زنده از دالبی تئاتر پخش خواهد شد.
